Brittney Dawn Cortes of New Bern and Clinton Don Ifill of Beaufort, S.C., were united in marriage June 18, 2008, at Craven County Courthouse.

The bride is the daughter of Tayo and Angela Cortes of New Bern and the granddaughter of William and Kathy Fordham of New Bern.

The bridegroom is the son of Raymond and Mary Ifill of North Carolina.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

A reception, hosted by the bride's father, was held in New Bern.

The bride attends West Craven High School.

The bridegroom graduated from West Craven High School and is employed by the U.S. Army as a supply specialist.

The plan to live in Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
