** James and Candy Blackman of Fort Bragg announce the birth of a son, Jalen Blackman, May 14, 2008, at Womack Army Hospital, Fort Bragg.

The baby weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 21 inches long.

The mother is the former Candy Hollis of Charlotte.

Grandparents are Delroy and Barbara Blackman of Stafford, Va., Brenda Petite of Charlotte, and James Hollis of Charlotte.

Great-grandparents are William and Kathy Fordham of New Bern and Delroy and Sonia Blackman of Moreno Valley, Calif.

** Christopher and Jamie Edwards of New Bern announce the birth of a son, Alexander Thomas Edwards, May 14, 2008, at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

The baby weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19 inches long.

The mother is the former Jamie Ipock of Fort Barnwell.

Grandparents are Larry and Susan Ipock of Fort Barnwell, Len Edwards of New Bern, Carey and Candace Coverdill of Moline, Ill., and Gail Edwards of New Bern.

Great-grandparents are Hallie Heath of Fort Barnwell, Cyril and Mildred Edwards of New Bern, and Jack and Ann Edwards of New Bern.

** Stephen and Susan Howard of Vanceboro announce the birth of a son, James Alan Howard, May 1, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

The baby weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and was 20 inches long.

The mother is the former Susan Malan of Vanceboro.

Grandparents are Lynn and Ann Malan of Vanceboro, Eleanor Malan of New Bern and Betty Clark of Greenville.

Great-grandmother is Julia Paul of Vanceboro.

** Ryan and Shannon Holton of Greenville announce the birth of twins, Clifton Daniel and Juliana Christine, May 14, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Clifton weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20 inches long, and Juliana weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19 inches long.

The mother is the former Shannon Ingalls of Rapid City, Mich.

Grandparents are Dan and Cindy Ingalls of Rapid City, Mich., and Terry and Vannah Holton of Grantsboro.

Great-grandparents are Clifton and Palmer Stowe of Grantsboro.

** Jonathan David and Jill Daniele Clark of New Bern announce the birth of a daughter, Lily Dan-iele Clark, April 19, 2008, at Craven Regional Medical Center.

The baby weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long.

The mother is the former Jill Borrero of Massachusetts. 

Grandparents are Kae Borrero of Decatur, Ark., and Chester and Harriet Clark of Amity, Ark.
